  4. Windows Launcher Update

  7.     Fix File Date:    4/8/92

  9.     Problem Date
  10.         All versions of PC Tools 7.1 file prior to 4/8/92.
  11.  
  12.     Symptom
  13.         Starting CP Launcher invokes the "General Protection Fault" 
  14.         error.  Windows reports the fault in the WNLAUNCH module at 
  15.         one of these addresses: 0001:32c7 or 0001:3233.

  17.     Environment
  18.         Occurs in Windows 3.1 only. CP Launcher works correctly with 
  19.         Windows 3.0.
  20.  
  21.     Cause    
  22.         The PCTOOLS environment variable is missing. You can avoid the 
  23.         problem by adding the PCTOOLS environment variable to 
  24.         your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If you have a PCTOOLS\DATA directory, 
  25.         then the AUTOEXEC.BAT file should refer to it. If not, then 
  26.         it should refer to your PCTOOLS directory.

  28.     How to Update    
  29.         Copy the new WNLAUNCH.EXE (4/8/92 07:10pm) to your PCTOOLS 
  30.         directory, replacing any older versions. If you have made any 
  31.         copies of WNLAUNCH.EXE you should replace them also.
